Don’t Take This For Granted

In Broken Vessels, Health, Lifestyle, Windows to Grace

A few weeks ago I began recording glimpses of grace each day. I would like to share these short devotionals with you.  At “Windows of Grace” you’ll find 40 days of encouragement, thankfulness, and challenge to look at things anew. Five days a week for eight weeks = 40 Days of Grace!

Day 1 – As simple as it may sound I enjoyed exercising today. Every day I take for granted my legs and the strength they have to hold me up and carry me everywhere. As I followed Leslie Sansone’s aerobic walking program, the beauty of the complex way our bodies work struck me. And yet the movements seem so simple.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Each move I make, each step leads to more muscle, more strength. For a short time I was in the moment enjoying what my marvelous body, created by God to glorify Him, can do.

Feet and ankles take the brunt, but the legs are magical, taking me around the room in the rhythm of the music. I am growing stronger and feeling better. God is placing in me the will to do this and I am thankful.

Psalm 139:14 – I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
