Day 27 of 40 Days of Grace – When God Whispers His Love Through Others

In Broken Vessels, Lifestyle, Windows to Grace

Day 27 – In one of my earlier posts I mentioned that the way my husband ministers to me it’s like having Jesus with skin on. Individual people are His hands and feet as we touch others’ lives.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been so blessed as the Lord reminded me of His love through other believers. Yesterday, a gal I know from Bible study wrote me an email to tell me I was on her heart, to remind me that God is the lifter of my head, despite how weary I may feel. In the midst of the whirlwind which is my life at this moment, God spoke to me through someone else’s kind words.

Another time a couple of weeks ago I was especially down and sent an email to my dear friend and cousin. She was there to “listen” and wrote back to me with encouraging, empathetic words.

I went to visit another dear friend a few weeks ago, not intending to unload, but not realizing how much I needed to talk to someone. And she was there to listen and encourage. Sometimes a friend or acquaintance takes the time to give us a hug or say, “I’m praying for you.” I’ve experienced that nudge myself to minister to others.

If we listen carefully enough I think we could hear the Lord say, See, I am with you, my child. I haven’t forgotten you, and I’m sending my love your way today.

Thank you, Heavenly Father!
